Permalink baracrack: I don’t even care if this doesn’t fit in with your blog. Sure, it might not be a band you’ve always loved or a cat doing a stupid dance or a half naked lady. This is Kony2012, an awareness campaign started through Invisible Children in the hopes of making Joseph Kony famous.  Joseph Kony is the worlds worst war criminal. He has leadership over a rebel group known as the Lords Resistance Army (LRA). He abducts children as young as the ages of 5, and uses them as ‘soldiers’ in his army. He abducts girls, to use as ‘wives’ to his soldiers, who are then brutally raped. The LRA encourages rape, mutilation and even murder to innocent citizens. In its 26 year history, they have abducted over 30,000 children from their homes, and have displaced at least 1.2 million people.  Still not convinced you should help? This means to make him known as the criminal he is, and to bring justice. Secondly, we want Kony to be famous so that when he is stopped,  he will be a visible, concrete example of international justice. Then other war criminals will know that their mass atrocities will not go unnoticed or unpunished. All you have to do, is help.
